About The University of Derby
RFD have created a truly modern and innovative environment for the learning and resource areas at the University of Derby.
A hardwearing Karndean floor has been specified for the walkway and is to come complete with a contrasting light wood border which sits adjacent to the carpet zones.
The furniture specified is a mixture of quality Gresham workstations and seating along side a series of bespoke screens, counters and enclosed meeting pods.
RFD have also created a full interior artwork and signage solution to truly finish off the new look University library.
The agreed concept has been well received and described as awesome.
RFD are proud of being given the chance to have designed the University’s Learning and Resource areas.
We also believe in giving these types of design an element of future flexibility by creating as much modularity to the fixtures and fittings as possible.
RFD have also shown how commercial interior design experience can be reflected in creating fun, functional spaces for modern buildings and for commercial environments.
